Laser operations: in our clinic we use YAG irydotomia for patients having chronic glaucoma and ALT operation for patients having open angle glaucoma.
2. PNT operations: innovative method giving no complications, used for open angle glaucoma, giving the opportunity for setting aside or reducing the ammount of used chemicals.
3. Surgeon operations:
- not perforating the eyeball: viscocanalostomia resting on restoring physiological patency of the outflow ways for the liquid from the eye
- perforating the eyeball: trabekulektomia resting on creating specific „safety valve”, which would regulate the intraocular pressure
- phacoemulsification of the len, growth of which is causing, with age, most of the cases of chronic glaucoma (and acute) after 40 years old. In situation as such, the chosen cure is removal of the len and implantation of the artificial, as in cases of cataract. Often additionally we use trabekulektomia.
