
In our practice during phacoemulsification we use modern machines made by AMO (www.amo-inc.com) as the first equipped with the White Star system, which significantly minimises the risk of complications. During the operation we typically use the tunnel cut i the eye’s cornea 2,75mm.
In cases quallified to this we use the method, so called double-hand fako from cut 1,8mm (e.g.:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m22gzq6Rw2Q). In the place after the removed len (cataract) we implant Acreos Adapt lens (read more:http://www.bausch.co.uk/en_UK/ecp/surgical/product/cataract/akreos_adapt.aspx), or Tecnis lens (read more:http://www.tecnisiol.com/patient.htm).
As one of the few in Poland we offer to our patients the ability to choose the multifocal lens, which make them able to see smoothly from the near points (app. 30cm.) up to the infinity, immitating the healthy vision of a young eye. We also prepare ourselves to implant adapting lens Crystalens, just after their registration in Poland (http://www.crystalens.com/).The Lens are recommended for professionallyand physically active people, who haven’t overcame 65 years old.
